Director of Underwriting and Analysis – Sacramento LPO
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maximize portfolio growth and quality by developing clear processes and procedures for loan origination, loan reviews, and ongoing tickler and covenant monitoring.
Continually monitoring loan tickler, covenant and periodic review data to ensure tracking systems are constantly up to date, accurate and reliable.
Serves as a key connection point between credit administration and the sales units
Develops performance metrics and goals for all team members
Continually tracks and monitors team performance with a focus on quality, quantity and SLA’s.
Partners on longer term department strategies for technology and data
A key contributor in the implementation of new technology solutions that will maximize efficiencies, improve data quality, and provide the best possible stakeholder experience
Participant in Management Credit Committee (MCC) and other committees as assigned
Will review all credit applications and memos over a certain threshold, providing timely feedback
Responsible for the training and coaching of underwriting and analysis team members

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
10+ years’ related experience, including management of credit analysis and underwriting, and loan documntation.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated qualifications.
Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing.
Excellent sales/persuasive skills.
Ability to proficiently read and interpret information on systems and documents in English.
Ability to write in English using correct spelling and grammar.
Ability to speak clearly, tactfully, and effectively in English to members, volunteers, prospects, and employees at all levels of organization.
Ability to partner with peers and senior management to accomplish enterprise objectives.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Moderate keyboard skills at 40 wpm.
Ability to quickly learn specialized software applications.
