Essential Duties and Responsibility:
Responsible for preparing reports and schedules to support the following:
- Bank’s Call Report
- Company’s Y-9 Reports (as applicable)
- Company’s 10-Q and 10-K
- Bank and Holding Company Board Meetings
- Senior Management Team Meetings
- Key Daily/Monthly/Quarterly Reports
Provides additional analytical support to the Chief Financial Officer and Controller as requested.
Provides back up and support to the Accounting Department as requested.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform all duties in a professional and satisfactory manner. Must have the ability to read and interpret financial statements. Must be able to perform a multitude of tasks and achieve results with a high degree of precision and accuracy with little or no supervision. Must be able to establish priorities for multiple and diverse tasks for various managers. Must have a working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the Financial Accounting Standards Board codification. Must have an advanced working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications. Ideally, would have a working knowledge of the Securities and Exchange regulations governing the financial information required to be reported by public financial institutions. Quick learner on other financial related software including Cognos and Global Spreadsheet Server knowledge. Attention to detail, but coupled with the ability to understand the big picture to identify the key details in order to avoid spending too much time on unimportant details. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized manner ready for presentation to a variety of audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a four-year college or university
Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentage, ratios, proportions, and statistical analysis to practical situations with the highest degree of accuracy.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
