PISMO BEACH, CA—Bank of the Sierra announced plans to open a new full-service branch in Pismo Beach, CA. The branch will be located at 1401 Dolliver Street, and is set to open its doors in 2017. The addition of a new Pismo Beach branch follows the Bank’s recent expansion into San Luis Obispo County, where four branches were added in 2016 with the acquisition of Coast National Bank.
“We see Pismo Beach as a prime location for further expansion on the coast,” Bank of the Sierra President and CEO Kevin McPhaill explained. “Our move into the Central Coast in 2016 greatly increased our possibilities and we look forward to the growth opportunities that this expansion will bring.” McPhaill added that, “The local community feel of Pismo is a good cultural fit for us, and we look forward to extending our brand, our products, and our services to the area.”
Pismo Beach is a city located in the southern part of San Luis Obispo County, on California’s Central Coast. 2014 estimates put the population at just under 8,000. Once known as “Clam Capital of the World,” Pismo Beach is home to a bustling beach tourism economy.
