Bank of the Sierra Awards $7K in Grants to Central Coast Non-Profits

November 9, 2017

Porterville, CA – Bank of the Sierra announced that $7,000 was awarded to three non-profit organizations in San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, and Paso Robles through its Sierra Grant Program. The organizations that received funding were Assistance League of San Luis Obispo, Los Padres Council Boy Scouts of America, and Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation.

The organizations listed above will use these funds for various community initiatives. Assistance League of San Luis Obispo County will use their funds to clothe 22 underprivileged K through 12th grade students. Los Padres Council Boy Scouts of America will maintain their youth programs, provide funding to underprivileged children who cannot afford to participate in their programs, and recover from a fire that damaged their outdoor school and resident camp. Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation intends to use their grant to continue their mission of youth enrichment, in the form of free classes in visual and performing arts for low-income youth.

Kevin McPhaill, Bank President and CEO expressed his gratitude, “We are thankful for the opportunity to work with organizations that so graciously support the members of our communities.”
