Sierra Grant Awarded to Garden Pathways, Inc.

PORTERVILLE, CA – Bank of the Sierra is pleased to announce a Sierra Grant in the amount of $3,500 has been awarded to the Garden Pathways, Inc. The grant funds will be used for the Comprehensive Mentoring project. This project fosters the healing process of the residents, enabling them to become healthy, productive community members, while growing in education, employment, leadership, and advocacy. Garden Pathways project provides a safe and trustworthy environment, trauma-informed individual and group mentoring, social support, employment preparation, and batterers intervention.
The Sierra Grant Program is designed to improve the quality of life for the families, especially the children, who reflect the diversity within Bank of the Sierra branch communities. The Sierra Grant Program is focused on three areas: community services, park preservation, and education.
