Sierra Grant Awarded to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias

PORTERVILLE, CA – Bank of the Sierra is pleased to announce a Sierra Grant in the amount of $3,500 has been awarded to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias. The grant funds will support the summer youth development and education program in the town of Strathmore. The 10 week program will serve youth ages 6-18. The activities conducted will include educational enrichment programs and social recreation to help kids learn how to develop positive relationships and conflict resolution skills.
The Sierra Grant Program is designed to improve the quality of life for the families, especially the children, who reflect the diversity within Bank of the Sierra branch communities. The Sierra Grant Program is focused on three areas: community services, park preservation, and education.
