A breach to Equifax, one of the largest US credit reporting agencies, occurred on September 7, 2017. 143 million Americans have been affected due to this breach which compromised their personal information giving hackers access to names, birth dates, addresses, social security numbers, credit card numbers, and driver’s license numbers.
