Bank of the Sierra Names Donald Terry Community Reinvestment Act Officer

Porterville, Calif. – Bank of the Sierra announced today that Donald Terry has been named its Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer. Terry’s role is to lead, further enhance, and coordinate the Bank’s CRA initiatives by expanding its relationships with community groups through volunteerism, grants, sponsorships, and community lending and investment opportunities. Terry lives in Rancho Cordova and will work from Bank of the Sierra’s Sacramento Regional Office in Roseville. He will travel frequently throughout the Bank’s footprint to meet both its business units and community group partners.
Terry has almost 25 years of experience in financial and community development industries. Prior to joining Bank of the Sierra, he was a CRA Officer for Tri Counties Bank, covering the Greater Sacramento and Central Valley regions. Terry was also a Vice President and Community Development Officer for Wells Fargo in Sacramento, managing CRA activities for Northern California. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Davis.
Terry has a long history of personal volunteerism through numerous board roles in local community groups, school boards, and local city council. He serves on various commissions and task forces, including the Sacramento County Homeless Council, and has been the Co-Captain for the Sacramento Metro Chamber’s Homeless and Affordable Housing Team for the past six years. Terry is currently a board member for Access Plus Capital CDFI, the Greater Sacramento Urban League, Los Rios Colleges Foundation, Sacramento Children’s Museum, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Sacramento Foundation. He has also served as a member of the Rancho Cordova City Council for the past 11 years including serving as Mayor in 2017 and 2022.
