FAQs
Deposits from your business are taken by armored courier to a local Cash Vault for processing. The Cash Vault will then send an electronic file indicating the deposit amount to Bank of the Sierra. You no longer have to deliver checks, cash, or coin to a branch for deposit!
If you need a change order, simply submit a request through Loomis and your armored courier will securely bring the currency from the Cash Vault to your business.
Cash Vault with armored courier services saves time and offers added security to businesses that deposit and/or withdraw large amounts of cash.
Cash Vault deposit electronic files delivered to Bank of the Sierra by 7:00pm PT on any business day will be considered deposited on that day.
Armored courier costs may vary due to several factors depending on your cash volume, change orders, frequency of deliveries and pickups, service location, which armored courier you choose, and other variables. These costs are determined by your armored courier, not Bank of the Sierra. For Bank of the Sierra fees, please refer to the Bank of the Sierra Commercial Schedule of Fees.
Yes, absolutely. Cash Vault is available to all cash-intensive businesses, not just money service business (MSB) customers.
To help get you started, be prepared to provide the following information:
- The name of your company.
- The address(es) of your business location(s).
- The name of your company.
- The address(es) of your business location(s).
- Hours of operation.
- Contact information (phone number, email address, etc.).
- A copy of your W-9 form.
- Expected number of times per week you will need armored courier service.
- Expected weekly cash deposit totals and change orders.
Our preferred vendor is Loomis, but you are welcome to choose a company you believe best fits your needs and budget. For more information about Loomis, please visit their website.
Yes, your current armored courier service may be used in conjunction with our Cash Vault services. Please provide us with the name and contract from your licensed armored courier service.
Your first step is to engage with a licensed armored courier. Please contact Loomis to sign up or provide them with the name of your contracted provider: 713-435-6912 or Laura.Boehm@us.loomis.com.
Once your contract is executed and delivered to your Bank of the Sierra Relationship Manager or Branch Manager, they will complete your Cash Vault setup.
Your Bank of the Sierra Branch Manager or Relationship Manager can answer any questions related to the transition to Cash Vault or questions about specific transactions. If you have questions about ordering or delivery, please contact your armored courier service.
